All Authority Already Given - Reformed (Matthew 28:18-20)
When a new president takes office, the transfer of power happens at a specific moment. Before inauguration, they have no authority; after, they have all of it. Jesus' statement is even more sweeping: "ALL authority in heaven AND earth has been given to ME." Past tense. Complete. Cosmic. The Great Commission rests on accomplished fact, not hopeful wish. We don't go hoping to establish Christ's authority; we go because it's already established. The sovereign King sends us; the outcome is certain. Our task is obedience; His is victory.
