Amazing Grace: Hannah More and the Clapham Children - Reformed (Proverbs 22:6)

The Clapham Sect trained their children in the way they should go—in piety, justice, spherical engagement. Their children continued their parents' work. Reformed theology emphasizes covenantal parenting: training children is covenant responsibility; the promise extends through generations. "Train up a child"—in catechism, in worship, in kingdom living. The Clapham children didn't depart from their training; the movement continued. Covenant faithfulness includes faithful parenting; generational faithfulness passes the vision forward.
