Growing in Grace - Wesleyan (Galatians 5:22-23)

Source: Holiness teaching81 words

Wesley taught that the Spirit's fruit grows through cooperative effort: we use the means of grace—prayer, Scripture, communion, fellowship—and the Spirit produces growth. It's not automatic but neither is it self-generated. A gardener cooperates with nature: plants, waters, tends. Fruit grows. Wesley was famous for asking his small groups: "How is it with your soul?" He meant: is the fruit growing? Where do you need more love, more patience, more self-control? The means of grace are available. Are you using them?
