Hidden Under the Cross - Lutheran (Jeremiah 29:11)

Source: Lutheran interpretation81 words

Jeremiah 29:11 came to people who had every reason to think God had abandoned them. Temple destroyed. Nation conquered. Promise seemingly broken. Yet precisely THERE, God spoke of hope and future. Luther called this the "hidden God"—working beneath what appears to be defeat. "Plans to prosper you, not to harm you"—hidden under exile's cross. The theology of the cross sees God working in opposite ways: life through death, hope through despair. Your lowest moment may be God's promise coming to birth.
