Intercessory Prayer: Arminian (Wesleyan) Lens Model for Community
Gracious God, as we gather in the warmth of this sanctuary, we come before You with hearts wide open, trusting in Your promise found in Proverbs 3:5-6, where we are reminded to “trust in You with all our hearts.” We seek Your guidance in the midst of our uncertainties, for we recognize that we are navigating challenging times.
Lord, we lift up our community. We see our neighbors struggling with loneliness and despair. We ask that You wrap them in Your comforting presence, reminding them that they are never alone, that we are all interconnected in this beautiful tapestry of life. May our hearts be moved to reach out, to offer a listening ear or a helping hand, embodying Your hesed, Your steadfast love.
We also pray for those who are facing physical, emotional, or spiritual ailments. May Your healing touch rest upon them. We trust in Your divine intervention, believing that You are at work even when we cannot see it. Help us to be vessels of Your grace, bringing hope and light into the lives of those who are weary.
As we seek to grow spiritually, may we lean into the wisdom of Your Word. Let us not rely solely on our understanding, but acknowledge You in all our ways. Lead us down paths of righteousness, for the sake of Your name.
With hearts full of hope and hands ready for service, we come to You, knowing that Your plans for us are good. Amen.
