John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." This verse encapsulates the essence of God’s love—a love that waits, that endures, and that ultimately acts. When we consider God’s love, we often think of its vastness and depth, but we must also recognize the seasons of waiting that accompany it.

Imagine a farmer tending to a small seed buried in dark, cold soil. Day after day, he waters it, trusting in what he cannot see. This seed represents a promise, a future harvest, but it requires time, patience, and care. Just like that farmer, there are seasons in our spiritual lives when we feel like we are waiting—waiting for guidance, for growth, or for healing. These times can test our faith, but they also cultivate our character and deepen our trust in God’s timing.

As we live out love in our relationships, let us embody the same patient, sacrificial nature that God demonstrated. If you find yourself in a season of waiting, remember that waiting is not passive; it is an active engagement of faith. Engage in prayer, seek community, and extend love to those around you, even when your heart feels heavy. Just as God’s love was made manifest through the sacrifice of His Son, let your love shine through your actions, trusting that God is working even when you cannot see it. Your waiting may very well be preparing the ground for a glorious harvest ahead.
