Morning Meditation: Diversity & Inclusion
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause in your presence this morning, my heart is stirred by the profound call to embrace Diversity and Inclusion, a theme woven deeply into the fabric of our faith. In 1 Thessalonians 5:11, we are reminded to “encourage one another and build each other up.” What a beautiful challenge! This isn’t just an instruction; it’s an invitation to see every person as a cherished creation of yours, deserving of love, respect, and kindness.
I think of the vibrant tapestry of our community—a patchwork of stories, backgrounds, and experiences. Each thread adds its own unique color and texture, creating a picture that reflects your glory. Lord, help me to see beyond the surface. When I encounter someone different from myself, may I resist the urge to turn away or judge. Instead, let me approach with curiosity and compassion, ready to listen and learn.
Imagine being that light in the darkness, a beacon of hope that shines even in the shadows of misunderstanding and division. When we actively embrace Diversity and Inclusion, we are not merely checking a box—we are declaring that every person is made in your image, worthy of honor and dignity.
Guide my actions today, Lord. May they be laced with grace and love, drawing others closer to you. Help me to create spaces where everyone feels welcome, valued, and heard. In doing so, we can foster a community that reflects your heart—a community where healing flows and chains of isolation are broken.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Take a moment today to reflect on how God might be nudging you to engage with Diversity and Inclusion—what steps can you take to honor Him and uplift those around you?
