Scriptural Insight: Righteousness - Application

Isaiah 40:31 tells us, "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." This passage speaks profoundly to the nature of righteousness as a divine gift that empowers us to live out our faith authentically and purposefully.

Consider the image of an eagle. When an eagle soars, it catches the thermal currents, rising effortlessly above the storms. Just as the eagle relies on these unseen forces, our righteousness is not our own; it is a reflection of God’s grace. When we place our trust in Him—when we place our emunah (faith)—we are lifted beyond our limitations.

In these moments, instead of striving harder to prove our worth, we are invited to rest in His promises.

We must ask ourselves: Are we soaring, running, and walking with God in our daily lives? When we turn to Him for strength and guidance, we discover not only a deeper faith but a purpose that glorifies the One who equips us for every good work.
