Seek the Welfare of Your Mission Field - Missional (Jeremiah 29:11)

Source: Missional interpretation78 words

God told the exiles to "seek the peace of the city where I have sent you." Sent—even exile was mission. The exiles were to bless Babylon, pray for their captors, work for the city's good. Jeremiah 29:11's hope included missional vocation. God's plans weren't just to rescue them FROM Babylon but to use them IN Babylon. Wherever God has "exiled" you—that's your mission field. Seek its welfare. God's future plans include your present faithfulness right where you are.
