Show Don't Tell: Genesis 1:20-23

Instead of saying "God created fish and birds," fill the silence with sudden life. The still waters erupt. Silver scales flash beneath the surface—thousands of them, millions, darting and swirling in schools that move like single organisms. Something massive stirs in the deep: a shadow the size of a hill, a leviathan rolling through waters that have never known a predator. And above, the empty sky fills with motion. Wings—every size, every shape. The thunder of geese in formation. The impossible hover of a hummingbird. Hear the first birdsong pierce the morning, one voice joined by hundreds until the air itself seems to vibrate with praise. God blesses them with a command: Be fruitful. Multiply. Fill every ocean. Claim every sky.
