Show Don't Tell: Genesis 12:10-20

Instead of saying "Abram lied about Sarai in Egypt," watch the man of faith fail. Famine grips the land of promise—the land God led him to—so Abram heads for Egypt. And as they approach the border, fear replaces faith. "Say you're my sister, or they'll kill me to take you." Watch her face as she realizes she's being offered as a bargaining chip. Pharaoh's officials see her. She's taken into the palace. And Abram? He profits: sheep, cattle, donkeys, servants. But God intervenes—plagues on Pharaoh's house—and the pagan king becomes the moral voice: "What have you done to me?" Abram is escorted out of Egypt, wealthy and ashamed. The father of faith, caught in cowardice.
