Show Don't Tell: Genesis 13:1-18

Instead of saying "Abram and Lot separated because of their wealth," let them hear the arguments. Herdsmen shouting across the plain, flocks tangled, wells contested. Too much blessing for one land to hold. Watch Abram, the elder, give Lot the choice—a stunning act of generosity, trusting God to provide. Lot lifts his eyes. See what he sees: the Jordan valley, green and well-watered, looking like Eden, looking like Egypt. He chooses by sight, not by faith. Watch him pitch his tents toward Sodom—not in it yet, but facing it, drawn to it. After Lot leaves, God speaks: "Lift up your eyes." See in every direction—this is yours. Walk through it. Abram moves to Hebron and builds another altar. Lot moves toward city lights. Two men, two choices, two destinies.
