Show Don't Tell: Genesis 2:15-17
Instead of saying "God gave Adam one rule," feel the weight of the gift and the boundary. The man stands in the garden, surrounded by abundance beyond counting. Every tree bends toward him with fruit—take it, taste it, this is all yours. His hands are made for work: to tend, to cultivate, to guard. Purposeful hands in a purposeful place. But then the Creator walks him to the center, to two trees that stand apart. One pulses with life—eat and live forever. The other holds something different, something dangerous: the knowledge of good and evil. Watch the Father's face as he speaks the boundary. Not angry. Not arbitrary. Protective. "From this one—no." A thousand yeses and one no. A universe of freedom with a single fence. "The day you eat of it, you will surely die." The man nods. He doesn't understand death yet. He will.
