Show Don't Tell: Genesis 3:8-13
Instead of saying "God confronted Adam and Eve about their sin," let them hear the footsteps. The cool of the day—that golden hour when God would walk with them, when his presence was welcome as evening breeze. But now the sound brings terror. They hear him coming and they run. Picture them crouched behind bushes, hearts pounding, leaves scratching bare skin. Then the voice—not angry yet, almost plaintive: "Where are you?" As if God doesn't know. As if he's giving them a chance. Adam's voice shakes: "I was afraid because I was naked." The first time fear has ever existed. God presses: "Who told you that you were naked?" The questions aren't for information; they're invitations to confess. Instead, Adam points at Eve. Eve points at the serpent. The blame shifts like hot coal no one wants to hold.
