Show Don't Tell: Genesis 44:1-34
Instead of saying "Joseph tested his brothers with the silver cup," feel the trap spring. The brothers leave at dawn. Joseph's steward overtakes them: "Why have you stolen my master's cup?" The search begins. Oldest to youngest. Then Benjamin's sack opens—the silver cup. Watch their faces. They tear their clothes and return. This is the test: will they abandon Benjamin like they abandoned Joseph? Judah steps forward. His speech is the longest in Genesis. He recounts everything—the father, the lost son, the bound life. Then the offer that changes everything: "Please let your servant remain here as my lord's slave in place of the boy." The brother who said "Let's sell him" now offers himself. The test is passed.
