Show Don't Tell: Genesis 9:18-29
Instead of saying "Noah got drunk and was shamed by his son," show the hero's fall. The man who walked with God, who built the ark, who saved the world—watch him plant a vineyard. Good. Watch him make wine. Fine. Watch him drink too much, stumble into his tent, pass out naked on the floor. The savior of humanity, exposed and vulnerable. Ham walks in and sees his father's shame—and instead of covering it, he broadcasts it. Runs to tell his brothers. Picture Shem and Japheth backing into the tent, eyes averted, draping a garment over their father without looking. Noah wakes with a hangover and a prophetic curse: Canaan, Ham's son, will serve his brothers. The new world starts with the same old sin. Righteousness doesn't guarantee our children's choices.
