Show Don't Tell: John 1:14
Instead of saying "Jesus is the incarnation of God," feel the scandal of flesh. "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." Not appeared as flesh, pretended to be flesh, temporarily wore flesh—became flesh. The eternal Word took on muscle, bone, blood, sweat, tears, hunger, fatigue, pain. "Made his dwelling among us"—literally "pitched his tent," "tabernacled." The glory that filled the tabernacle in the wilderness now walks on two feet. "We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." Eyewitness testimony: we saw it. Glory housed in flesh. Grace and truth in human form.
