Show Don't Tell: John 9:35-41
Instead of saying "Jesus revealed himself to the healed man," see physical and spiritual sight meet. Jesus hears that they have thrown him out, and when he finds him, he asks: "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" "Who is he, sir? Tell me so that I may believe in him." "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you." "Lord, I believe," and he worships him. Jesus says: "For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind." Some Pharisees who are with him hear this: "What? Are we blind too?" "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains." The man born blind now sees—both physically and spiritually. Those who claim to see remain in darkness.
