Show Don't Tell: Luke 22:1-6
Instead of saying "Judas agreed to betray Jesus," watch Satan enter. Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, is approaching. The chief priests and the teachers of the law are looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they are afraid of the people. Then Satan enters Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. Luke names the real actor. Judas goes to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discusses with them how he might betray Jesus. They are delighted and agree to give him money. He consents, and watches for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd is present. The betrayer joins the conspirators. The timing is negotiated. The price is set. All that remains is the right moment away from the protective crowd.
