Show Don't Tell: Luke 22:47-53

Instead of saying "Jesus was arrested," feel the kiss of betrayal. While he is still speaking, a crowd comes up, and the man who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, is leading them. He approaches Jesus to kiss him. "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?" The most intimate gesture weaponized. When Jesus' followers see what is going to happen, they ask: "Lord, should we strike with our swords?" One of them strikes the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. "No more of this!" And he touches the ear and heals him. Even in arrest, he heals. Then Jesus says to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard, and the elders who have come for him: "Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour—when darkness reigns."
