Show Don't Tell: Luke 23:1-5
Instead of saying "Jesus was brought before Pilate," hear the accusations mount. The whole assembly rises and leads Jesus off to Pilate. They begin to accuse him: "We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Messiah, a king." Political charges now—sedition, tax evasion, claiming kingship. Pilate asks: "Are you the king of the Jews?" "You have said so." Pilate announces to the chief priests and the crowd: "I find no basis for a charge against this man." But they insist: "He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here." No basis for a charge—but the pressure continues. Political convenience will override judicial clarity.
