Show Don't Tell: Mark 4:21-25
Instead of saying "Jesus taught about the lamp and measure," light the lamp. "Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed?" Absurd. "Instead, don't you put it on its stand?" Lamps are for illuminating, not hiding. "For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open." The parabolic concealment is temporary; full revelation is coming. "Consider carefully what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more." How you receive determines how much you receive. "Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them." Attention compounds. Inattention loses even what it seems to have. The secret kingdom will go public—and those who listened carefully will be ready.
