Show Don't Tell: Matthew 18:10-14
Instead of saying "Jesus told the parable of the lost sheep," count the ninety-nine. "See that you do not despise one of these little ones." Even the smallest believer has angels attending to the Father. Then the math: a man has a hundred sheep, and one wanders off. Does he stay with the ninety-nine or go after the one? He leaves them on the hills and searches for the wanderer. Feel the terrain—rocky slopes, thorny ravines, dangerous cliffs. He finds it. "Truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off." The recovery brings greater joy than the retention. "In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish." One matters. One lost is worth leaving ninety-nine safe.
