Show Don't Tell: Matthew 4:18-22

Instead of saying "Jesus called his first disciples," watch them leave everything. Dawn on the Sea of Galilee. Two brothers casting nets—Simon and Andrew, the rhythm of work they've known since childhood. A stranger walks up the shore. "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." No explanation. No negotiation. No promise of salary. Watch them look at each other—then drop the nets. Just drop them. Farther along: James and John in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending nets. Jesus calls. They leave the boat. They leave their father sitting there holding the torn nets. "Immediately they left." The word "immediately" twice. No hesitation. Something about this rabbi compels instant, total response. Four fishermen, one morning, lives overturned by invitation.
