Show Don't Tell: Matthew 6:25-34
Instead of saying "Jesus told us not to worry," look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store in barns—and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than birds? Look at the lilies—wild flowers that neither labor nor spin, yet Solomon in all his glory wasn't dressed like one of these. If God clothes grass that's here today and burned tomorrow, won't he clothe you? "O you of little faith." Feel the anxiety drain as the evidence mounts. Worry won't add a single hour to your life. The pagans chase after all these things—food, drink, clothing. "Your heavenly Father knows that you need them." So seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble.
