Show Don't Tell: Matthew 8:14-17

Instead of saying "Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law and many others," step into the house. Jesus enters Peter's home and finds his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touches her hand—that touch again—and the fever leaves. But watch what happens next: she doesn't rest and recover. She gets up and begins to wait on them. Immediate, complete restoration. Then evening comes. Word has spread. Watch the sick arrive—carried, supported, stumbling through doorways. Demon-possessed brought forward. "He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick." All of them. Matthew sees Isaiah fulfilled: "He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases." The Servant who would carry our sickness is here, and he's healing a fishing village.
