Show Don't Tell: Psalm 93

Instead of saying "God is sovereign over chaos," hear the breakers pound. Five verses of raw power. "The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure." Robed—like a king preparing. Armed—ready for battle. "Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity." Throne before time. "The seas have lifted up, LORD, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves." Three times the seas lift—ancient chaos symbol. "Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea—the LORD on high is mighty." Thunder of waters, breakers crashing—God mightier still. "Your statutes, LORD, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days." From cosmic power to temple holiness. Five verses, eternal reign.
