The Frequency That Finds You
In 1665, Dutch physicist Christiaan Huygens noticed something peculiar. Two pendulum clocks mounted on the same wall, started at different times, would gradually synchronize their swings. He couldn't explain it. Scientists later named the phenomenon sympathetic resonance — the vibration of one body drawing another into its rhythm.
You can see it with tuning forks. Strike one tuned to middle C and set it on a table beside another fork of the same pitch. Without anyone touching it, the second fork begins to hum. The first fork's vibration travels through the air and awakens something that was always there, waiting to respond.
Zephaniah 3:17 tells us that the Lord our God is in our midst and that He "will exult over you with loud singing." Think about what that means. The God of the universe is not waiting for you to find the right melody. He is not standing with arms crossed until you get your life together. He is already singing. He is the fork struck first, and His song of rejoicing travels across whatever distance guilt or grief has created until it finds the resonant frequency already built into your soul.
You were made to vibrate with that voice. When the Almighty sings over you with joy, something deep within you — something you may have forgotten was there — begins to hum back.
