The Gift That Must Be Opened - Wesleyan (John 3:16)
A wealthy man left his entire estate to his estranged nephew. The lawyers delivered the documents; everything was legally his. But the nephew never opened the envelope. He assumed it was another rejection letter and threw it away. He lived in poverty while millions sat unclaimed. Years later, someone found the discarded envelope and showed him what he had refused. John 3:16 announces a gift offered to the whole world—eternal life. But a gift must be received. "Whoever believes" is the opening of the envelope. God's grace is genuinely offered to all; our response genuinely matters. Have you opened what God is offering?
