The Prepared Path Through Tham Luang

In June 2018, twelve boys from the Wild Boars soccer team and their coach crawled into the Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand for a quick adventure. Then the monsoon rains came early. Water surged through the tunnels, driving them deeper and deeper into the mountain. For nine days, the world feared they were dead.

But a prepared place waited for them — a rocky shelf deep in the cave system where the ground rose just above the floodwaters. They huddled there in total darkness while, outside, a thousand rescuers from seventeen nations assembled. Navy SEALs, engineers, and divers mapped an impossible escape route through miles of submerged, twisting passages. They installed guide ropes, pumped millions of gallons of water, and positioned oxygen tanks along the path. Every detail was prepared before a single boy moved.

One by one, each child was carried through the darkness to daylight.

In Revelation 12, the woman and her child face a dragon who wants to consume them the moment they are most vulnerable. But the Almighty has already prepared her place of refuge in the wilderness. The child is snatched to safety. The dragon rages, but God's rescue plan was in motion before the floodwaters ever rose.

The salvation, the power, and the kingdom belong to our God — not because the danger was not real, but because the deliverance was already prepared.
