Up: Adventure Is Out There (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Carl and Ellie in Up planned their adventure to Paradise Falls but life kept intervening - broken cars, broken legs, broken dreams. After Ellie's death, Carl finally makes the journey, dragging their house to South America, only to discover the real adventure was never the destination. Ellie's final message in her adventure book: Thanks for the adventure - now go have a new one! Isaiah declares: See, I am doing a new thing! Do you not perceive it? Carl had to let go of the house - literally - to embrace the new adventure God had. We honor the past not by clinging to it but by living toward the future with the same spirit.
